SUMMARY:Formnext 2025 (Frankfurt, Germany, 18–21 Nov 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Formnext is Europe’s premier trade fair for Additive Manufacturing (AM). The 10th Formnext edition took place from 18–21 November 2025 at Messe Frankfurt, Germany. It drew record attendance – 38,282 professional visitors and 804 exhibitors – and 47% of attendees came from outside Germany. Organizers describe the fair as a “hub for Additive Manufacturing” where industry experts from aerospace, automotive, medical and other sectors explore the latest 3D-printing solutions. On its 10th anniversary, Formnext emphasized how AM has “become a reality in numerous industries” and showcased solutions for industrializing AM (automation, supply-chain flexibility, SME adoption, etc.).\nKey highlights of Formnext 2025 included:\n\nInnovations across the AM process chain: Exhibitors introduced new machines, materials, and end-use parts. The show floor was noted for innovations in metal and multi-material printing, AI-driven design, and sustainable materials.\nSupporting program: The conference featured multi-track presentations, panels and live demos. Guided trade-fair tours and three conference stages (Industry, Application, Technology) offered expert talks and case studies. The expanded program also included AM live shows and startup events. For example, the stage program and Formnext Awards (six categories) drew crowds.\nNetworking and awards: The Formnext Awards honored top innovations (e.g. a Start-up Award, Sustainability Award, etc.) at a ceremony on Nov 20. Attendees praised the quality of networking, with visitors reporting “intensive and productive discussions” across the value chain.\n\nSeveral CompSTLar partners participated. In particular, AIMEN (Spain) had a dedicated booth (Hall 11.0, Stand B35) and showcased its AM infrastructure and projects. (Fraunhofer institutes including IAPT and IPT also exhibited at the Fraunhofer joint booth.) Formnext’s official website and program (formnext.mesago.com) provide details of sessions and award winners. Overall, Formnext 2025 reinforced its role as the leading global forum for additive manufacturing.\nFor more info, please visit the event website ( https://formnext.mesago.com/frankfurt/en.html ).\n
