CompSTLar Consortium Accelerates Digital Transformation in Aviation at Second General Assembly

Gjovik, Norway – September 25, 2025 – Following a successful project launch in Vigo, Spain earlier this year, the CompSTLar consortium convened for its second General Assembly on September 23–24, 2025. Hosted by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the meeting marked a critical step forward in the project’s mission to boost the digital transformation of aviation supply chains for advanced composite aerostructures.
Building on the momentum of the kickoff meeting hosted by AIMEN Centro Tecnológico in February, this two-day assembly brought together key partners to review technical progress, exchange innovative ideas, and map out the strategic next steps for the project.
Driving Innovation in Composite Aerostructures
Innovation in Action at NTNU
A highlight of the event was an exclusive tour of NTNU’s state-of-the-art laboratories. Led by host Professor Sotirios Grammatikos, the consortium members were granted access to cutting-edge research facilities. The visit provided the team with a firsthand look at the latest innovations in material science and testing, offering valuable inspiration for the project’s upcoming implementation phases.
Next Steps
With the insights gained from the Trondheim meeting, the CompSTLar partners are now poised to execute the next phase of development, focusing on the integration of digital tools that will streamline the lifecycle of composite materials in aircraft production.
