EASN Conference (Madrid, Spain, 14-17 October 2025)
The 15th EASN Conference 2025 took place from 14–17 October 2025 in Madrid, Spain. It is a premier European event dedicated to “Innovation in Aviation & Space towards sustainability today and tomorrow”, bringing together around 600 researchers, industry stakeholders, and representatives of EU-funded projects to discuss the latest advances in aeronautics science and innovation.
The conference focused on exploring groundbreaking advancements and innovative approaches to address current and future sustainability challenges in aviation and aerospace. It also served as a key forum for strengthening collaboration between academia and industry, with a strong emphasis on digital transformation, sustainable aviation, and next-generation aerostructures.
Technical sessions covered a wide range of topics, including advanced manufacturing, structural health monitoring, and digital engineering approaches for aeronautical applications. In addition, the conference acted as a vibrant hub for European dissemination and exploitation activities, highlighting strategic priorities guiding the aerospace sector toward environmental, economic, and social sustainability, and fostering synergies across disciplines and industries.
The CompSTLar project was represented by project partner AIMEN (Spain), who contributed with two presentations:
- CAELESTIS: Advancing Aviation through Virtual Prototyping, Lightweight Materials, and High-Performance Computing
- Advanced Manufacturing Technology for Aeronautics and Space
The event provided valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking, and dissemination of cutting-edge research results within the aeronautics community.
